A national not-for-profit runs a financial education program for learners across 40 partner organisations. We built the program’s interactive lessons, then the platform that delivers them.

The lessons. 34 interactive lessons across 16 courses, built in Articulate Storyline and published as xAPI packages. They cover everyday money topics like budgeting, saving goals, and managing debt, and each one reports progress and completion back to the learning system.

The platform. A custom learning site running on Moodle and IOMAD behind the scenes, so learners never see the standard Moodle screens. Each partner organisation has its own sign-up page and learner group. New learners are enrolled in the core courses automatically, electives unlock once the core is done, and certificates are issued and emailed on completion. Staff update site content through a simple editor.

Getting the tracking right. Lesson results are recorded in both the LMS and a separate learning record store, and course completion rules are set up so those records drive everything that follows: certificates, elective unlocks, and reporting for each partner organisation. Video lessons track how much has genuinely been watched, so skipping to the end doesn’t count as finishing.
